Prof. Cosmin Goian, PhD, is a teacher at the Social Work Department of the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology at the West University of Timisoara (WUT) since 1999. Since November 2011 he has been the Head of the Social Work Department and since July 2013 he is the Head of the Mas-ters “Management and Supervision in Child and Family Welfare”. He studied social work at WUT and in 2007 he obtained the title of Doctor of Philosophy at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi with the theme "Interpersonal communication in social work" under the coordination of Prof. Laurenţiu Şoitu, PhD. In December 2014, he obtained the habilitation as a PhD supervisor in Sociology.
